Nicola and James
Nicola and James’ wedding at Haselbury Mill was such a joyful celebration, surrounded by the people - and dogs - who mean the most to them. After searching for the perfect venue, it was easy to see why Haselbury Mill became the place where they wanted to celebrate becoming husband and wife.
Their children were a huge part of the day, alongside Bertie, who looked particularly smart in his tuxedo. The groom’s parents also brought their two gorgeous Basset Hounds, who certainly knew how to make themselves noticed – especially when one decided that Nicola’s Pimms looked far too tempting to leave alone!
The outdoor ceremony was full of smiles and emotion, with a particularly memorable moment when Nicola accidentally fluffed her lines and had everyone laughing. From there, the celebrations continued with garden games, delicious food and plenty of time spent with family and friends.
As the sun began to drop, the beautiful grounds were bathed in golden evening light, giving us the perfect opportunity to sneak away for some photographs together. Then it was back to the party, with The IOUs getting everyone onto the dance floor.
It was such a pleasure to be part of Nicola and James’ wedding and to capture a day that was so full of personality, love and laughter.
There were so many personal touches to Nicola and James’ day, but the four-legged VIPs have to be up there! From Bertie’s very smart tuxedo to the Basset Hound with a taste for Pimms, they certainly brought plenty of personality. And those golden-hour portraits at Haselbury Mill were pretty special too.
